Since I achieved 17 in 2007 despite 5 classes and I'm only taking 2 classes this semester, then surely I can up my goal. I think I'll try for 24 this year. Roughly 2 a month. This should be made easier if I add fiction books to the list
January:
The Weather Makers by Tim Flannery
Bonobo by Frans de Waal
February:
The Social Atom by Mark Buchanan
Damn, why do only men write good science books? One day I will help buck the trend and come up with a great one of my own! Yesss. Also, branching out hasn't worked great for me. I need to stick with science book and memoirs or I won't make my goal!
The Armchair Economist by Steven E. Lansburg
March:
Cosmos by Carl Sagan
Why Darwin Matters by Michael Shermer- Shermer is always awesome. OMG.
April:
Price of Honor by Jan Goodwin
The Octopus and the Orangutan by Eugene Linden (actually completed 5/2/08, but I'm counting it in April)
May:
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
A Whole New Mind by Daniel H. Pink
I feel bad putting these up because I read them for school. I may try to read two more by the end of the year, but if I'm short of my goal... well they are books and I read them
June:
Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku
The World Without Us by Alan Weisman (finished 7/2/08)
July:
August:
September:
October:
November:
December:
Original goal: 24 books Currently: 12 left
